This 1964 Plymouth Belvedere is the product of a comprehensive body-off, rotisserie restoration completed as a professionally built tribute to Chrysler's legendary 1964 Max Wedge Super Stock cars. While not a factory Max Wedge, the build faithfully captures the appearance, sound, and driving experience of the originals while utilizing a premium pump-gas 440 RB big-block and Chrysler A833 four-speed manual transmission for outstanding reliability and street manners.
Finished in white over a beautifully restored red interior, the car presents exceptionally well throughout. The body, chassis, engine compartment, trunk, and undercarriage all reflect the meticulous attention to detail expected from a high-quality restoration.

Drivetrain

Why a 440 Instead of a 426 Max Wedge?
Rather than attempting to duplicate the original 426 Max Wedge engine exactly, this build utilizes the legendary 440 RB platform. The result is a car that preserves the visual impact and personality of the original Max Wedge cars while offering greater reliability, abundant torque, readily available parts, and the ability to run on today's premium pump gasoline. It is a combination that makes the car equally enjoyable at shows, cruise nights, and shows.
Restoration
The body was removed from the chassis during restoration, allowing every component to be refinished and detailed. The undercarriage, frame, suspension, engine compartment, and trunk were restored to the same high standard as the exterior. The white paint presents beautifully, while the chrome, stainless trim, and brightwork complement the classic Belvedere styling.
The red interior has been completely restored and features excellent upholstery, door panels, carpeting, dash, and instrumentation. The cockpit maintains the purposeful appearance of a period Mopar performance car while remaining comfortable and inviting.
