1963 Chevrolet Carryall (2-Door) – LS3-Powered, Fully Sorted Driver
This 1963 Chevrolet Carryall was custom-built by a Utah shop for participation in the 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour and has since proven itself as a reliable, road-ready driver. Power comes from a 425hp LS3 crate engine paired with a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, installed as a GM Connect & Cruise package with matching wiring and ECU.
The suspension has been comprehensively upgraded with tubular front control arms and adjustable coilover shocks, along with a rear link-bar setup, coilovers, and a professionally built 12-bolt rear axle with 3.73 positraction. Braking is handled by Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. The truck rides on Detroit Steel wheels measuring 18” up front and 20” in the rear.
I purchased the vehicle with approximately 7,500 miles and have added around 25,000 miles since. It has been a dependable and well-sorted driver, offering excellent road manners—you could confidently fly in and drive it home.
Originally finished in school bus yellow, this Carryall began life as a small-town Arizona school bus. The current paintwork is older (35+ years) and shows its age, but presents well as a driver.
I have used the vehicle primarily for traveling to dealerships while sourcing Harley-Davidson motorcycles for our business. As I am now semi-retired and no longer actively buying bikes, it's time to pass it along.
