Description
We found this 1984 Jeep CJ-7 on a ranch in west Texas. It was used mostly around the ranch. They took it to town every once in a while. This Jeep doesn't have any rust. It is solid. The floors, the body mounts and the frame are all perfect.
The previous owner swapped out the original power plant with a GM fuel injected Vortec engine and a GM 3 speed automatic transmission. It has a Dana 300 transfer case and the 4 wheel drive works exactly the way it should. The previous owner also installed 411 gears front and rear. We put 33" Gladiator all terrain tires on it. They balance out the 411 gears.
We did a little bit of work on the front end. We replaced the drivers side tie rod, and we greased the wheel bearings
It came to us with a 2 1/2" lift kit, a locker in the rear differential, disc brakes in the front and drum in the back and it also has a Wood Power 10,000 lbs winch up front.
The paint is original, it is faded and scratched here and there, but it looks cool. The odometer says it has 97,000 miles on it? That could be true, but we don't know.
This Jeep is a blank canvas. Keep it exactly the way it is and drive it, or you can fix it up and make it new again.
