1947 Dodge Brothers WD-15 Truck
You are looking at a really special 1947 Dodge Brothers pick up. It was a 5 year build that started in 2010. I have a build list of parts totaling $39,386, not including the cost of the truck, and most of the time and labor. I have a Stacey Davids Project build book that will go with the truck as well. Its a very straight all steel truck, the bed is oak with stainless steel runners. The frame is stock-boxed made by Chrysler. The suspension is IFS Fat Man front with coil springs, power rack and pinion steering along with power disc brakes on all four corners. The rear suspension is also fat Man 4 link with coil over shocks. The aluminum fuel tank is No Limits. The rear end is a ford explorer with a 3;73 posi, the suspension really puts the power to the ground. It rolls on American racing 18"x 8" front and 18"x10" on the rear. The motor is a Ford Lightning 351, rebuilt and machined by Ledford in waco texas. King Bearings .010, stock ford svo rods, Keith black silver light pistons, .30 over, comp .270/.512 cam, Edlebrock RPM Heads, Crane rocker arms, Edlebrock air gap performer intake, Holley avenger 670 Carb, White performance HEI, BBK headers, Magnaflow exhaust, derale transmission cooler with a spal fan, summit fuel pump. It has a fresh rebuilt ford RK-AODE-2 Transmission by Howards in Meridian Texas, also an in dash controller for the Bauman Optishift controller. It has new glass, balls power window controls, hdc power door locks, EZ wiring kit, windshield wiper actuators, speedway door wiring looms, Dodge dakota seat, leather covered. It has a marksman Extreme x3 alarm and keyless entry system. The paint is dupont black base coat with PPG hyperdyne coating. The led tail lights are Hagan Street Rods. There is more that I have not mentioned. The ride and drive is very tight and smooth, the disc brakes are excellent, the rack and pinion makes it drive more like a modern day car. The cabs on these early trucks are not very roomy, so if you are over 6 ft. tall you will be cramped. The power on take off is excellent, tire spinning, firm shifts. The exhaust sounds good, maybe a little in the loud side. The air conditioning blows cold, the lights and turn signals work well, the brake lights dont come on. The odometer records the miles, however the speedometer needle is stuck. The stereo system sounds real good, it has an adjustable sub behind the passenger seat. The windshiled wipers need to bee drilled out and installed. The body is really excellent for a truck of this vintage. This was a 5 year passion and once it was complete the owner decided he would like to have a new Harley, that is how we got the truck. This truck was built right with alot of money and time invested. Check out the pictures and watch the video. Give us a cal with any questions you might have.
